Family, Youth, and Student Programs
Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra is a vital part of the cultural landscape in the Bay Area. Our outreach programs include our Family Concerts, as well as initiatives that assist students at all levels in attending our performances. (These are in addition to our education programs that bring historical music and music education into school curricula.)
Family Concerts
Our Family Concerts are special performances of selected programs, accompanied by a host speaker who narrates and explains aspects of the music. The Family Concerts welcome our current subscribers who would like to bring children or grandchildren, and we also encourage participation by families who may not normally attend our concerts. Tickets are available at a nominal fee.
Student Access Initiative
We partner with K-12 schools, post-secondary schools, community music centers, and adult continuing education programs to distribute vouchers for free admission to the Orchestra’s subscription concerts, master classes, and our family concert.
