Family Concert

The 2013 Family Concert:
“All-Stars of the Italian Baroque”

Saturday, March 16 4-5pm
First Congregational Church of Berkeley

2345 Channing Way, Berkeley CA 94704

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.

The brilliant violin soloist Rachel Podger will lead Philharmonia Baroque strings, harpsichord and organ in music written for “virtuosi”—players with exceptional skill and ability! This concert program has been designed especially for families with children ages 4 through 12.

The presentation will feature vibrant concertos for both solo violin and for multiple instruments. The performers will provide engaging commentary about their original instruments, the all-star composers, and their time. Our audience will perform a Grand Finale with the Orchestra. Audience members are welcome to sing or to play along!

By popular demand, some of the Philharmonia Baroque “virtuosi” will remain in the sanctuary after the concert to share their instruments up close with the next generation of musicians and audience members.
