“All-Stars of the Italian Baroque”

Free Student Concert

The brilliant violin soloist Rachel Podger will lead Philharmonia Baroque strings, harpsichord and organ in music written for “virtuosi”—players with exceptional skill and ability! Students and their teachers will hear vibrant concertos for solo violin and for multiple instruments. The performers will share the distinctive sound of their own authentic instruments, show how the instruments evolved, and provide engaging commentary about the composers and their time. Dynamic video projection will enrich the presentation.

Herbst Theatre, San Francisco
