Mobile Mentor Richard Savino works with PAUSD students at Bing Concert Hall.

A Mobile Mentor from PBO’s Orchestra or Chorale will give student ensembles a boost in confidence and style!  Mobile Mentors coach students on baroque, classical, or early romantic repertoire. They offer practical stylistic suggestions, entertaining anecdotes about the history behind the music, and other useful information about historically informed performance (HIP). They are delighted to answer students’ questions and give them an insider’s perspective on a musical career!

A Mobile Mentor’s visit may be up to three consecutive hours in duration, and a Mentor may work with multiple music ensembles on a single day. This program is ongoing throughout the school year, and is appropriate for musicians of all ability levels, from beginners to pre-professionals. Scheduling priority will be given to large ensembles. PBO is able to provide this service at no charge for a limited number of schools.
