Students will be introduced to the rich musical traditions of the baroque era through solo and ensemble performances, instrument demonstrations, and historic anecdotes. This will be an extremely rare and valuable opportunity for students to hear music that was composed for period instruments such as the chalumeau, viola da gamba, viola d’amore, theorbo, and the mandolin.
