Benefits and Services for Subscribers

Your benefits with our (Full or Half season) subscription packages include ticket exchange, ticket replacement, same seat guarantees, discounts on additional tickets, and ticket donation.

Ticket Exchange

If you are unable to attend a performance, you may exchange your tickets for another Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra performance within the current subscription season.

  • Please exchange in advance. We cannot exchange expired tickets.
  • If you choose to exchange into a higher-priced section, you will be charged the price difference from your subscription seats.
  • If you choose to exchange into a lower-priced section, we will not refund the difference. It will be considered as a donation to the Orchestra.
  • Exchanges may be made by mail, with different policies for FULL, QUARTET and TRIO series subscribers, and for IMPROVISE YOUR OWN subscribers, as described below.
  • Exchanges may also be made by phone.

Exchanges by Mail for FULL Series Subscribers

All exchanges by mail are FREE. Please mail the tickets you wish to exchange to:

  • Please include a note indicating the date of the concert into which you would like to exchange.
  • Also include a self-addressed stamped envelope for our use in sending you the new tickets.
  • The exchange request must be received at least two (2) business days before the first date of the two concerts involved.
  • Do not cut or mark the tickets you wish to exchange.

Exchanges by Mail for QUARTET and TRIO Series Subscribers

Your first two (2) exchanges by mail are FREE; additional by-mail exchanges require a processing fee of $5 per exchange. Please mail the tickets you wish to exchange to:

  • Please include a note indicating the date of the concert into which you would like to exchange.

  • Remember: Quartet and Trio series subscribers may exchange two (2) sets of tickets by mail for FREE. Additional exchanges require a fee of $5 per exchange.

Exchanges by Mail for IMPROVISE YOUR OWN Series Subscribers

An exchange is permitted only from one concert into another performance of the same concert. Such exchanges by mail are FREE. Please mail the tickets you wish to exchange to:

  • Please include a note indicating the date of the concert into which you would like to exchange.
  • Also include a self-addressed stamped envelope for our use in sending you the new tickets.

  • Do not cut or mark the tickets you wish to exchange.
  • Remember: You may only exchange tickets of a chosen concert into a different performance of the same concert.

Exchange by Phone for ALL Subscribers

All exchanges by phone will be charged $10 per call. Please contact our Patron Services Manager, David Challinor, at (415) 252-1288, ext. 305. Phone exchanges must be completed 24 hours prior to the first performance date being exchanged

Ticket Replacement

Subscriber tickets are guaranteed. If tickets are lost, please call us for replacements, free of charge. Contact our Patron Services Manager, David Challinor, at (415) 252-1288, ext. 305, or email: dchallinor@philharmonia.org

Same Seat Guarantees

Subscribers to FULL, QUARTET and TRIO Series subscriptions are guaranteed the same seats for all concerts in their package. If you exchange into a concert that is not in your package, or if you purchase additional tickets, we will provide the next best available seats.

Subscribers to the IMPROVISE YOUR OWN Series are not guaranteed same seats.

Ticket Discounts

Need extra tickets? Subscribers receive a 10% discount on any additional tickets purchased for Subscription Season concerts.

To take advantage of this discount, please purchase additional tickets by contacting our Patron Services Manager, David Challinor, at (415) 252-1288, ext. 305.

Please note that subscriber discounts are not available for ticket purchases for performances scheduled apart from the subscription season.

If you cannot attend a performance for which you have already purchased tickets – and you do not plan to exchange them for another performance – you may donate your tickets for resale and receive tax credit equal to their full value.

Donated tickets can be sent by mail. They should be received at least two (2) business days before the performance. Mail to:

A letter of acknowledgment will be mailed within one month of your donation.
