Lars Ulrik Mortensen

Lars Ulrik Mortensen is renowned as a harpsichordist, chamber musician, and conductor. Since 1991, he has served as artistic director of Concerto Copenhagen, a leading period instrument ensemble. Together with John Holloway and David Watkin, Mortensen is currently a member of the Trio Veracini.

Mortensen studied at the Royal Academy in his native Denmark, as well as with Trevor Pinnock in London. From 1988 to 1990, Mortensen was harpsichordist with London Baroque. From 1990 to 1993 he was a member of Collegium Musicum 90. He has also taught at the Hochschule für Musik in Munich. He performs extensively as a soloist and chamber-musician in Europe, North America, Latin America, and Japan.
