Lisa Weiss
Violin
In her two decades as a co-leader and soloist with Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, Lisa Weiss has treasured the close friendships and humor of her colleagues every bit as much as the music-making. Along with Orchestra principals Kati Kyme, Anthony Martin, and William Skeen, she is a member of the New Esterhazy Quartet, which is currently performing the complete quartets of Haydn in a multi-year concert series.
In addition to local appearances with Bay Area ensembles, Weiss performs in Europe with the Festspiel Orchester Göttingen, and is often invited to perform and record with early music and chamber ensembles across the United States. Weiss lives in Solano County with her husband and three teenagers, works extensively with several international conservation organizations that focus on endangered turtles and tortoises, and is a dedicated long-distance runner.
